BY REGISTRATION ONLY: Ukrainian-Norwegian municipal partnerships. Experience exchange for Norwegian municipalities

In times of crisis, local and regional authorities play a crucial role as the state’s primary service providers. A recent report by the Council of Europe shows that Ukrainians have high levels of trust in their municipal governments. This trust is to a large extent due to the political leadership shown by Ukrainian mayors during the war.

Through Ukrainian-Norwegian municipal partnerships, Norwegian municipalities can support Ukraine in rebuilding its cities, and in developing its local democratic practices and welfare services. This meeting is intended for Norwegian municipalities interested in entering such a partnership and is organised by KS (the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities). During the meeting, mayors of Norwegian municipalities that are already in the process of entering partnerships with Ukrainian counterparts will present their experiences. There will also be representatives from local and national governements in the Ukraine.
