The WPS agenda is multifaceted and requires cooperation across sectors, perspectives and locations. From practical guidance on how to implement gender equality and WPS mandates, to academic research impacting activism and policy, to building structures of accountability, it continues to require partnerships between regional, local and international bodies and actors. In this panel speakers will present on their experience intersecting civil society, academic, national and international practices and policies. They bring rich experience and knowledge from a variety of locations - social, political and geographic - in order to address challenges and opportunities for cooperation. Having recently launched its WPS Center of Excellence, the panel provides examples from Kosovo which gives evidence of the difficult journey to WPS recognition but also pronounced success.
